The Mr Bean Plane Olympics part one:

Today students put to use the planes they made last week following their instructional texts. Some of these were quite complicated. Today we focused on naming the planes using proper nouns, the name of the plane was derived from the way it flew. This lesson we concentrated on measurement strand of mathematic's curriculum. Each team flew their plane and students measured the distance, learnt to read off a tape measure and distinguish between measurements such as 4.03 and 4.3 for example. Tomorrow we will focus on the amount of time the plane stays in the air.

we will focus on the amount of time the plane can stay in the air. We talked about variables as well, those we could control and those we couldn't. At any rate each student had a different plane design.
